Bell Restoraton - Cleaning & Polishing - "A" Stands & Yoke Restored & Painted
The 515 lb. bronze bell cast by the Meneely Bell Company of Troy, NY in 1911 was in bad shape. The corrosive salt air had taken its toll. The bell wheel had deteriorated, the supports were worn and rusted.
The restoration of the church steeple provided the opportunity to remove the bell. It was sent to the people at Chime Master Systems for a complete restoration and the installation of an inside striker. The bell was reinstalled and is operated by way of a Chime Master Systems Millennium bell ringing system.
The bell is now rung by way of an custom designed interior striker housed up inside the bell. The electronic controlls ring the bell in such a way as to reproduce the voice of a swinging bell. It automatically rings the Angelus and Call to Mass, At the push of a button from the remote control the bell will either ring a joyous peal or strike a toll.
